Religious Education Curriculum

The Religious Education curriculum at the College is at the heart of our education program.

Under continuous development, the Religious Education Curriculum is in an exciting time of renewal focussing on:

  • the integration of information technology through the Understanding Faith Multi-Media Program
  • the implementation of the Crossways curriculum
  • the integration of the MITIOG (Made in the Image of God) Program
  • the introduction of Stage 2 Religion Studies as a full-SACE 10 credit subject.

The curriculum is augmented by a vibrant Retreat Program through Years 7 to 12, including a pilgrimage at Year 9 which highlights the activities and places undertaken by St Mary of the Cross MacKillop during her time in South Australia, culminating in an overnight Retreat for the Year 12 students at Nunyara in Belair.

Many of the College's graduates mention the Retreat experiences as some of the most significant events in their time at Mary MacKillop College.
