We are pleased to announce that Mary MacKillop College is now accepting enrolments for Year 7 in 2019. We are fortunate that we have sufficient capacity for Year 7 and for some time we have been working on our curriculum and transition programs for this cohort.

Come Home to MacKillop

Our Sesquicentenary celebrations are to be held on Sunday September 18 from 2pm – 5pm. We look forward to gathering with past and present students and staff who have found a home at Mary MacKillop College through the work and support of the Sisters of St Joseph.

From the Deputy Principal

This week our College and Social Justice Captains met with Archbishop Philip Wilson along with other senior students from across Catholic Secondary schools. The meeting was an opportunity for the Archbishop to acknowledge the leadership provided by these students and to hear about their future hopes and aspirations. The girls appreciated the affirming words of the Archbishop and the opportunity to meet with other student leaders.

Mary MacKillop Feast Day Mass

On Friday 5th August the College celebrated the Feast of Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop with a Mass in the theme of “Believe in the whisperings of God to your own heart”. 

Yr 9 Retreat “ In the footsteps of Mary MacKillop…”

The Year 9 students participated in a Retreat Day last week where they visited various sites in Adelaide of great significance to Mary MacKillop.

Students in Year 8 Digital Technologies have been learning to code using a program called Scratch. The girls have enjoyed learning to program and create their own games, using step by step instructions to produce a user friendly and engaging, interactive experience. Capacity Building: The World is our Classroom

In 2014, Mary MacKillop College embarked on a four week expedition with World Challenge and Reynella East College to Vietnam and Cambodia. Our objective was to build capacity, the capacity of our own students through learning from different cultures and taking responsibility for their expedition.

The NYSF is a two week programme for students moving into Year 12 who wish to follow careers in science, engineering and technology. It introduces them to research and researchers, and, by helping to develop their communication and interpersonal skills, encourages the achievement of excellence in all their undertakings

Canteen Information

Would you like to meet other parents of the College?

The College canteen has a wonderful team of dedicated volunteers who provide an enormous amount of assistance. If you are able to join our happy crew of volunteers, by helping for a few hours, from as little as once a month to weekly or possibly daily, we would love to include you in our helpful team. Helpers are asked to be at the canteen by 9.00am.
